Thomas Middlecott Academy is committed to sporting excellence.

Whether it’s competing locally against other schools, or in high profile DRET sports tournaments in front of sporting royalty like Denise Lewis and Rebecca Adlington, our students consistently show what sport means to them.

Specialist coaches come to Thomas Middlecott Academy, to provide insight, motivation and to equip our students with additional knowledge and skills that enable them to compete at the highest level.

We are proud to have access to some of the best sporting facilities in the area:

A floodlit multi use games area
A sports centre
A fitness suite
A gym
Extensive playing fields

Our students have the chance to take part in a wide selection of extra-curricular sports clubs and competition. Training at St George’s Park, sports tours in Europe, funded trips to major tournaments, bursaries and scholarships all form part of the sporting provision we are able to offer.

We now have a Sports Enrichment Officer to help with the delivery of our sports enrichment calendar. They are also responsible for organising fixtures and ensuring we are making the most of our incredible sporting facilities.
