Students from Thomas Middlecott Academy joined up with other DRET secondary academies to take part in a Netball Masterclass session at the academy.
Loughborough Lightning and England players, Natalie Panagarry and Britt Coleman, were on hand to offer coaching and advice to the students – all of whom were selected based on their excellent performances in netball.
The professionals put on a training session which involved testing the students’ reactions, hand-eye coordination, shooting and passing.
Shane Ward, DRET Sports Enrichment Manager, said: “The girls did themselves and their academies proud. They certainly impressed the professionals, who were great sports.”
